Last day features not to miss
The GFCM side event is one item on a busy Friday schedule at the 2025 UN Ocean Conference, lasting from 9.00 to 19.00. There will be also other side events organized by international financial institutions (Global Environment Facility), UN agencies and others. These discussions will provide opportunities to hear contributions from high-level speakers throughout the day.
The Ocean Action Panels taking place on this final day will cover sustainable food for poverty eradication and food security (Panel 9) and conservation and sustainable use of ocean and their resources (Panel 10).
All eyes will be on the closing segment of the general debate and the conclusions of the Conference, which will culminate in the adoption of the Nice Ocean Action Plan and statements by the Special Adviser to the Presidents of the Conference on ocean and legal matters and the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for the Ocean.
